Welcome to KYOD, a platform for the spiritual kindred. KYOD is a union of the word Kyoto and Yod. Kyoto is an energy portal and Yod is our soul star chakra. In this sacred space, you can immerse yourself to experience your true Self. This allows you to balance and center yourself physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

I am blessed to take up the role of a conduit to hold space in Kyoto and access cosmic wisdom to share with you. I invite you to explore it in this website and someday to join my De-Light Retreat in Kyoto.

Meet Margie

the luminary of light

Margie is a spiritual teacher, gifted healer and Light keeper.
For almost two decades, she shares her downloaded cosmic wisdom through writings and workshops. She is a luminary by empowering people to connect their true Self.

Margie was born an intuitive and has been a devoted aspirant of spiritual practices, particularly meditation for 35 years. She received the calling to serve humankind in 2008. She has touched the heart of tens of thousands of people through spiritual healing, workshops and retreats.

In 2010, Margie was guided to move to Hong Kong from New York to do Light work. She founded 7th Ray, Center for Health & Healing. In 2013, when she traveled to Kyoto, she received the message from Horus, God of Light and Cosmic Master, to open a second Center which she did in 2015.

Margie was originally named Marilyn since she was a child. In 2017, she was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and immediately after the operation, she was woken up physically by a divine voice calling her Margie. She found out later that the name meant Child of Light. Her first book ‘A Soul Journal from Kyoto’, published in 2018, was written in honor of the Light. She and her hubby Ko reside in Kyoto to bring the cosmic wisdom to others.

    • Bachelor of Business Administration (High Honors), University of Hawaii. Graduated top percentile and on Dean’s List. 1982-85.

    • Bachelor of Law (High Honors), University of London. Graduated top percentile. Completed the degree in 3 years and part-time studies. 1991-1993.

    • Worked in the hotel industry as senior executives for 3 years.

    • Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Department of
      Hotel & Tourism for 6 years. 1988-1994.

    • Co-founder of the brand KOKO Antiques off Madison Avenue in Manhattan with Ko for 20 years.

    • Co-owner of Che Che New York, an internationally trademarked fashion brand
      that manufactures, designs and distributes ladies’ accessories. 2000-2008.

Meet Ko

The culinary alchemist

Dubbed “Chef Ko” by his friends because of his dedicated passion in the culinary arts.

Ko comes from a family of talents in the culinary field. Despite no formal training in cooking school, Ko ran the most successful eatery of a large international chain while he was obtaining his BBA and MBA in Hawaii. During a span of 10 years, Ko developed a career in the food and beverage sector of numerous restaurants, clubs and hotels. He was lecturing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University specializing in Food and Beverage Management before immigrating to New York in 1994.

Since 2014, Ko has been teaching cookery, kung fu and chi kung. He is an antique collector and avid photographer with a keen eye on space and aesthetics.

Margie and Ko’s 40-plus-year partnership is a harmonious blend of spiritual wisdom and culinary artistry, united by their shared commitment to love, education, and holistic living.

Their childhoods, filled with freedom and bold parenting, instilled in them a soulful approach to life that continues to shape their work. Together, they create experiences that uplift and inspire, whether through Margie’s meditative teachings or Ko’s delightful cuisine, inviting all to savor the beauty of connection. The couple’s synergy is rooted in love, with food as Ko’s medium to nourish both body and soul, while Margie complements his work by crafting texts that explore the deeper significance of eating in Japanese culture, subtly elevating diners’ consciousness.

Now residing in Kyoto, they continue to share cosmic wisdom and abundant joy, inviting all to relish the beauty of connection and consciousness.
